The effect of those words was immediate and startling. Pierrot’s large, luminous pupils narrowed to thin, reptilian golden slits, then flared wide, swallowing the iris in a sea of obsessive black. He crossed the remaining distance between them in a literal blur of color and shadow. He stopped just short of touching M!Y/n, towering over him, his chest heaving slightly.
