The stadium was louder than Hyunjin expected.
Even with the roar of fans muffled by the echoing indoor arena, the sound pressed against his ribs and vibrated through the soles of his spikes. Banners waved, lightsticks pulsed, and names were chanted in overlapping waves. The Idol Star Athletics Championships were finally here—the day of—and suddenly, the joking from two days ago felt very far away.
Hyunjin stood near the warm-up lane, hands resting on his knees as he stretched his calves, breathing carefully. In. Out. His heart felt like it was tapping against his sternum, fast but steady—too aware of itself.
(In this story, this is a real conversation the boys had in the talker, where they mention the race and joke with Hyunjin about pretending to be hurt during the 60 M. This story will focus on Hyunjin and the 60 M race.)
