Summary
The tap was dripping.
The tap dripped into the sink of his parents house.
Shane had mentioned that he could probably fix it, tighten it up some maybe. His Dad had taught him how to be handy.
His hand was around a bottle of medication he’d been taking for the better part of 2 years now, some chemical help for anxiety well beyond his control.
He held the bottle and stared at the facet dripping slowly.
Shane’s eyes were transfixed on the sight in front of him.
The dripping sink. The pill bottle in his hand, the sun coming in from the sliding door that lead onto the back porch.
And his father who currently laid motionless on the cold tiles of the kitchen.

Shane had never been so scared in his whole life. He gripped Ilya’s hand tightly. They told each other if they didn’t make it that they loved each other so fucking much.
The plane skidded to a stop, flames already engulfing the back.
Shane doesn’t remember much after that. He doesn’t remember seeing unconscious forms of people he doesn’t know. Shane doesn’t remember seeing the bodies of people that would never make it. He doesn’t remember screaming in Russian because his brain wants to remind him of his biggest comfort.

Shane and Ilya try to recover from a crash that almost cost them their lives. Will it cause strain and fracture on their relationship as boyfriends or will it make them stronger in the end?
