None of it matters, so screw both of them, toss 'em in the bin alongside the rest of the broken toys—both of it can go straight to HELL as far as he cares. The only thing that counts is getting his hands on a decent cuppa, a damn tea; that's about it, and if that means abandoning the pretentiousness of the world, then so be it. Because that was what He always did. He knew exactly what was going down. Sat back, watched the whole bloody circus unfold. Only stepped in when absolutely necessary to keep the wheels of existence turning, then let nature take its course. Allowed people to march right off the cliff, heads held high, blinded by their own hubris. The world is meaningless.
Let the dominoes fall, piece by shattered piece, letting humanity stew in its own self-destructive juices, and you know what? It worked perfectly.

Summary

The silk cape over his shoulder had tainted marks all over, gold-and-brass armor greyed, the weapon-laden sash carried blood. "We've been told to contact you in case of—" Its image froze. Male voices saturated the link. "Trouble emerged from the woods. This is Commander Ah-Yuma, Second to, deceased, Knight Kovu. We've been attacked."
The telegraph typed a question.
"Three months ago," Ah-Yuma informed, limping back into the hologram's frame and wiping blood from his neck. "It took us three months to walk back to homebase, and it has been three months since we've... since we've lost contact with the Expedition Chief."
The telegraph sizzled.
Commander Ah-Yuma's nails scrapped the assegai he carried at his side. He met the gazes of his fellow soldiers beyond the hologram. "Dr. Kah'ru has left us, Your Majesty."
"What a pretty way to put it, Commander—betrayed!" A stone voice roared. The hologram shifted sideways. "Soldier Akícita, Sire. Kah'ru Taj'sia has betrayed our country."

Air Groove and Symboli Rudolf working together and eventually falling for each other during the latter part of Groove's career. I only depict sadness or darkness with the intent of showing how things might be able to exist in spite of it, but this will eventually be a romance first and foremost. After all, the world that they want to build for umamusume doesn't need to be built if there isn't a potential for problems, and they won't need to be lifted up if they aren't ever down.
Takes place in a post-Cinderella Gray spinoff AU I've contrived with inspiration by a few events from real life. May reference some events from CinGray but I'll try to keep it ambiguous and vague. If I've done it right then, in a lot of cases, you shouldn't be able to tell the difference between something from it and something I just made up unless you've already been exposed to it or its obvious.
